Since FC Barcelona's ongoing pursuit of Nico Williams and Dani Olmo has started, it has been made clear again and again that despite improvement in the club's financial conditions, someone would have to leave to make way for these signings. In the past, there have been rumors regarding several players' exits, be it De Jong, Gundogan, or Vitor Roque, but due to players's preferences, the club has failed to manage those funds.
However, recent reports do indicate another possibility for a player move, which has the potential to smooth Barca's transfer window. According to reports, Barca has received an offer worth €65M for their most promising winger in the last two seasons, Raphinha. Not to forget, Barca had issued their thoughts some time ago, stating that they would only consider offers of €90M or more for Raphinha.
Will Raphinha be the scapegoat for Nico and Olmo's signings?
Moreover, the Brazilian winger himself does not prefer a move and considers himself to be a part of the Barca roster next season. But Barca's statement regarding their demand of at least €90M came when they did not find themselves in such dire need of cash flow. Considering Barca's current temptation to bring in Nico Williams and Dani Olmo, it wouldn't be surprising if they forced Raphinha into a Saudi move.
Analyzing the whole deal from a neutral perspective, it doesn't look that bad for either side as Barca seems to be making a small profit considering that the Brazilian had arrived for €58M. Moreover, though none can overlook his mammoth 45-goal contributions in 2 seasons at the club, Barca seems to be getting holds on Dani Olmo and Nico Williams, which seems to be a fair exchange against a player like Raphinha.
Though further updates on the possible move of Raphinha are yet to arrive, Barca would hope they somehow manage to bring their dream signings of Dani Olmo and Nico through whoever's sale it comes. And as mentioned above, the club wouldn't hesitate if they saw Raphinha exchangeable for the two Spanish stars.
