Since the last few days, there have been rumors regarding Vitor Roque's transfer move. As had been reported, the Blaugrana club might end up selling the Brazilian forward if a hefty offer arrives for him. And that did happen when Saudi Giant Al Hilal showed immense interest in the youngster and approached FC Barcelona to acquire the player's signature.

Moreover, it was being considered that Vitor Roque's move to Al Hilal might help the club manage finances for Dani Olmo's signing. Add it to the fact that the youngster has been showing signs of brilliance again and emerged as one of the standout performers in the game Vs Olot.

Understandably, considering Roque's potential, the Barcelona board was thinking of selling the Brazilian youngster for at least €40 million, knowing that a significant amount of his transfer fee would go to Atlético Paranaense. As per the clause in Roque's Barca contract, his former club Atlético Paranaense would get €10M if Barca managed to lay him for €40M.

Roque's reluctance to leave might cost FC Barcelona

However, the recent reports regarding Vitor Roque's potential move don't sound good for FC Barcelona. In dire need of funds, Barcelona is indeed open to letting Vitor Roque go. The club wants to sell him permanently or through a loan with a compulsory buy option. But unfortunately, the youngster has shown signs of reluctance to leave Barca.

According to the report, Roque only thinks about succeeding at Barça and is still reluctant to leave. Not only does this create a problem for FC Barcelona, who have to plan funds to manage their dream transfer targets like Dani Olmo, but it also means they would not be able to register some other players in Roque's salary space.

As has been clear from Barca's financial condition, even though everyone wants to remain at the club, someone would have to leave to make funds for the new signings. Though further updates on Vitor Roque's Barca future are yet to arrive, Barca would hope that they somehow manage to convince the youngster to leave.
