According to the Mirror, Tottenham will reject any offer for Christian Eriksen. The Independent had reported that Barcelona were his primary suitors. But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to sell one of the most important players in the side.

Levy has said that there will not be any departures from the club. But it is not going to affect Barcelona’s transfer plans too much. The Catalans have already signed a reinforcement for the midfield in the form of Paulinho.

But Eriksen would have been a much better option than Paulinho. He was second in the assists chart in the Premier League last season, with 15 assists.

More from Everything Barca

According to the Sun, Ronald Koeman wants Thomas Vermaelen in his squad. Vermaelen is an outcast at Barcelona and is gearing up to leave. The Belgian defender wants a final crack at the Premier League and he has various suitors.

Everton are in prime position to land Vermaelen. But West Brom are also competing for his signature. While Everton are willing to purchase, West Bromwich Albion can only afford to sign him on loan.

Anderlecht have also expressed interest in him, but Vermaelen wants another chance in the most competitive league in the world. Once upon a time, Vermaelen commanded Arsenal’s defense along with Laurent Koscielny.
