Bayern Munich were favorites to sign the 24-year-old until the reports claiming Barca and Los Blancos’s intentions surfaced which could cause some trouble. Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has asked the club president Florentino Perez to make an effort towards the possible signing of the City star.
The German international has a contract with the Premier League side until June 2021 but due to his unwillingness to sign a contract extension, City have now decided to keep their door open for a potentially good offer for the youngster.
Blaugrana and Real have both made an attempt to sign the City player by offering a contract, however, Bayern Munich still remains a step closer. BILD revealed that a meeting between Bayern’s Sporting Director, Hasan Salihamidzic, and LIAN Sports (Leroy Sane’s representatives) had taken place in Munich.
Sport reported that Pep Guardiola would be asking a fee of around €95 million, with BILD previously reporting a request of including Kingsley Coman in the deal, which was rejected by the Bavarian club.
It is understood that this signing will be difficult to finalize for each of the parties involved with each side offering their best contracts for the German Star.
The 24-year-old is yet to make an appearance for Manchester City this season after sustaining a cruciate knee ligament rupture. However, Sane can still prove to be a great asset for any club he joins as he has managed 39 goals and provided 45 assists in 134 appearances for the Blues.
