Barcelona may be closer than ever to reunite with Paris Saint-Germain star.
After leaving Barcelona three years ago, Neymar has reportedly reached an agreement with current employers Paris Saint-Germain to ensure his exit at the end of this campaign.
It is a well-known fact that the Brazilian international has regretted his move to Parc des Princes, wanting a move to Camp Nou ever since his departure with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, forcing the Barca hierarchy into action.
Despite the constant pressure from the influential players, the Barca board opted to sign Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann instead. The French international has unfortunately failed to live up to the expectations set, quite frankly underperforming for the most part with only glimpses of genius like the goal against Villareal on Sunday.
Why this strong desire?
The latest speculation surrounding Messi’s desire to leave because of frustration with the lack of talents available in the squad and the way the management has functioned so far. This has triggered the idea of signing Neymar as the currency to help convince Messi to sign a contract renewal.
AS reports that the former Santos forward has signed an agreement with PSG which will ensure his departure once the current season ends. The condition is that the Brazilian superstar must give them his maximum commitment.
The forward has been in fine form this season managing 18 goals in 22 matches while providing 10 assists during that period. It seems that it is very likely that the Catalans will reignite their attempts to sign the talented attacker, but will have to raise some funds in order to do so. For that reason, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele have all been lined up for a potential deal with the French side.
