Paris Saint-Germain ready to green light Neymar’s move to Barcelona.

Barcelona receive fantastic news from France as PSG are ready to negotiate a deal for Neymar once the season ends.

More from Everything Barca

The French side are at risk of losing both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe as both the superstars’ contracts are nearing expiration. The Brazilian international, however, has been adamant about desiring a move to Camp Nou in order to relive his MSN days with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Barca president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has been made aware of this desire by Messi and Co. as they desperately need a quality reinforcement like Neymar to have a chance at both La Liga and Champions League next year.

Bartomeu has been attempting to negotiate a deal with Parisian’s Sporting Director, Lenardo, but to no avail, as the Ligue1 champions were yet to make a decision.

What has been offered so far?

The Spanish giants made an extravagant offer recently to convince the club to make the transfer with both Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele being named as the players moving in the opposite direction. While they await an official response, Bartomeu has already ruled out the transfer blaming the current financial state of the club as to why they cannot afford the deal.

The latest report from L’Equipe, however, suggests that the final decision has been made with PSG unwilling to lose their most expensive transfer for free in 2022. This could potentially open Barca’s options of securing the forward this summer when the transfer window reopens.

While many believe Neymar’s return will convince Messi to sign a contract renewal, the reality is that Barca are yet to reach an agreement with PSG, who will only look to sell the winger to a club that are willing to pay his expensive transfer fee. Real Madrid have already shown their interest in signing the 28-year-old.

Meanwhile, Neymar has already struck a deal with his employers to confirm his exit at the end of this season with Leonardo willing to negotiate his exit if he gives his all during the club’s remaining Champions League fixtures. PSG have a great chance to be crowned the European champions as they have been placed in a relatively easier bracket which does not consist of Barca, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Juventus, and Lyon.
