Mauricio Pochettino shuts down Barcelona dream as he hails arch-rivals
Mauricio Pochettino hails Barcelona rivals Real Madrid.
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino has stated that he did not receive any offers from Barcelona despite being heavily linked to the Catalans last year during his exit from the London club. The Argentine clearly stated that he did not get offered a role at the Nou Camp and that he did not see himself working with the current board, according to Goal.

The former Southampton boss was sacked last year by Daniel Levy and was replaced by Jose Mourinho. Since then, the 48-year-old has been heavily linked to Barcelona but he explicitly denied a move in an exclusive interview with Marca.
The ex-Spurs Coach has also been heavily linked to Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Inter Milan but he refused to admit any talks of a deal. He did mention that he received offers to join AS Monaco and Benfica. Thomas Tuchel remains as the PSG coach and Andrea Pirlo has replaced former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager stated that he did not get any official offer from the Blaugranas but it is his dream to manage Real Madrid. He stated that it would be a dream come true for him if he could get to manage the Los Blancos instead of FC Barcelona, in the interview with Marca.
Mauricio Pochettino did wonders with Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur in ratio to the resources he was provided at those respective clubs. In the end, he failed to impress at Tottenham Hotspur and was sacked last year in November. However, he’s one of the world’s first-class coaches and hence, has so many big teams are linked with him. As a potential replacement to Zinedine Zidane’s seat in the future, he will definitely not be ruled out after his warm statements towards Real Madrid.
