Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has absolutely slammed Paris Saint-Germain star, Angel Di Maria, after his latest comments on Lionel Messi’s potential transfer to the French Ligue 1. Everyone including all staff, players, and the PSG  boss himself Mauricio Pochettino, have made some sort of comment on Messi’s potential arrival at the Parc des Princes.

More from Everything Barca

Obviously it would be a fantastic delight for the French giants to have one of the greatest players of all time at their club. However, Ronald Koeman has not had the patience anymore as he slammed the former Manchester United man for his latest comments on Leo’s potential move to PSG.

Lionel Messi had handed in a transfer request during the summer transfer window of 2021 which was denied by Barcelona and La Liga as the Argentine had a year more left on his contract. However, the 33-year-old’s contract is up this summer and he is free to negotiate with other teams as of now.

According to the Barcelona boss, Lionel Messi is still a Barcelona player through and through. He stated that he is least bothered about what is yet to come and he is solely focused on the present. The former Everton coach stated that he feels a ton of disrespect aimed towards the club by other team players such as Angel Di Maria talking about Lionel Messi in such a manner that he is their player.

"“It seems to me a lack of respect. Someone can be wrong in saying something like that, It is not fair, I do not think it is respectful towards Barca to speak like that of a player who is ours. So many people from PSG talk a lot about Leo, who plays for Barca.”Source Goal"

The former Southampton manager has also stated that this disrespect is intolerable and it could very well reflect on Barcelona’s upcoming clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie. The two clubs will go head to head against each other in order to secure a place in the last 8. Koeman has basically issued a threat to the French giants prior to the exiting fixture coming up.

Are Di Maria and PSG wrong to entertain Messi’s potential arrival?
