Manchester City recently announced thay club legend Sergio Kun Aguero will be departing the club after ten massive years. The Argentine is one of the major reasons for the club’s current success which was built over the last 12 years. However, the best things do not last forever and the number 10 will finally head out of the City of Manchester Stadium this coming summer. Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona have been heavily linked to the center-forward for quite a while now and it also looks like the former Atletico Madrid prefers a move to Spain.

More from Everything Barca

Foot Mercato reports that the Argentine international has offers from multiple European giants. The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain are all options from which the City legend must choose. Obviously, one can arguably rule out the possibilities of Sergio joining a direct Premier League rival such as United or Chelsea.

Barcelona could sign Aguero for Lionel Messi

The forward has been heavily linked to the Blaugranas. Aguero and Lionel Messi are known to be the best of friends. The two were close friends ever since their time together in the youth campaigns with the Argentina national squad. It will be of no surprise if the City man heads to the Nou Camp to unite with Messi. The forward is currently just 32 years of age and still has a good 2-3 years of top-level European football under his belt.

It would be a fantastic addition for Barca as he will come in as a free agent. However, his wages may be a problem as Manchester City refused to pay his particular demand. The demands are high and given the current financial problems at the club, it may not be so easy for the Catalans. However, with the new president Joan Laporta, it may be possible.

Would Aguero be a good fit for Barca?
