Erling Haaland and Mino Raiola have been on an almost comical tour all around Europe in order to find him the best club. The clubs that he has visited consist of Barcelona, Real Madrid and several clubs in England. It really seems as if Raiola is hellbound on a transfer sale for his client.

More from Everything Barca

It would be no shocker as although Borussia Dortmund is a great club, they are not considered one of Europe’s elites and Haaland’s stats shows us that he is ready to take the next step forward in his career. His agent, however, claims that they still have a good relationship with Dortmund even though they have been publicly seeking a move away from the German side.

Barcelona and many others are pressuring Dortmund to make a sale.

Haaland is no doubt the most exciting prospect in the European market at the moment. He has an incredible ability of scoring goals and his young age suggests that he could go on to become a legendary striker in his prime. He is only rivaled by Robert Lewandowski and Andre Silva in the Bundesliga. With 33 goals already to his name this season, it is no wonder that all the top clubs are going for him. Dortmund are however reluctant on selling him but Raiola has claimed that this will not be the case although he respects the club’s decision to try and keep him. In an interview with SPORT1 he said,

"“I can confirm that I was in Dortmund for talks, Michael Zorc (Dortmund’s sporting director) made it clear to us that BVB do not want to sell Erling this summer.”“I respect this opinion, but that does not automatically mean that I also agree. BVB were very clear in their views. We are okay with that. “There is no war between us and BVB – absolutely not!”“The relationship with Zorc, Aki (Hans-Joachim Watzke, Dortmund CEO) and [Sebastian] Kehl (Dortmund director) is still good.”Source Goal"

So if Haaland does decide to move away, how can Barcelona afford him? Joan Laporta has recognized the Norwegian as his main target and is ready to sell Ousmane Dembele and even Antoine Griezmann to make the transfer happen. On top of that, the Catalans are also planning to take out a high-interest loan from Goldman Sach, an American investment back.

This could help finance the player’s move however, after the transfer they will have to make sure that the performance on the field is good. They have to make back the money by winning tournaments otherwise the whole club could be at risk. Should the club not decide to go for Haaland this season, they could also go for Memphis Depay or Sergio Aguero. Those players are running out of their contracts and could join for free ensuring that Barcelona does not lose out on any more money.

Should Barca do everything possible to secure Haaland?
