The wait is over and the speculation can officially cease. In an enormous declaration of intent for the coming season, FC Barcelona have finalised a deal with Borussia Dortmund for the acquisition of explosive German forward Karim Adeyemi.
The "Here We Go!" from Fabrizio Romano has been declared, and the deal is through.

Barcelona has moved very swiftly, and Hansi Flick finally got his hands on the rapid, line-breaking winger his tactical setup so desperately requires.
The financials: A 29 million bargain?
Dortmund were originally hoping for a much higher valuation for their speed-demon. The young 24-year-old was supposed to be part of a bidding war to fetch an astronomical sum for the German side, but Barcelona executed a negotiation masterclass to bring the price down.
The clubs have now officially agreed on a fixed transfer fee of €22 million guaranteed, plus another €7 million in performance-based add-ons. The add-ons will largely be linked to winning major trophies and the player making a certain number of appearances. For a player of Adeyemi’s profile, age, and Champions League pedigree in this market, any deal for less than €30 million is an absolute steal for the Catalan giants.
"Only Barca": The player's ultimatum
The entire thing really boiled down to the player himself. Adeyemi essentially made his decision public and, in the process, hamstrung any hope Dortmund had of securing more funds, when he gave them the simple ultimatum: he was only interested in a move to Barcelona.
He rejected interest from a handful of other top clubs around Europe in order to force his way to the Camp Nou. By telling the Dortmund board exactly what he wanted, he left them with few options than to accept the structure of Barcelona’s offer, instead of trying to keep an unhappy player.
A 5-year blueprint for the future
Adeyemi is expected to sign a five-year contract with Barcelona, which will see him locked into the club for a significant part of its future sporting plan. He comes to a Barcelona side at an interesting stage in their transition.
With the team looking to modernise its attack, Adeyemi’s electric pace, direct running and versatility on the flanks or as a centre forward fits perfectly into Flick’s high-octane, vertical style of play. The ink is still drying on the contracts and the medicals will soon be conducted, but the future of Karim Adeyemi at Barcelona has been officially confirmed. Barca fans, brace yourselves.
