Looking at Barcelona right now, it is easy to be pessimistic. Questions which can be pondered from their financial situation is where on earth are the Barcelona transfers going to come from? Well, the key to this is player sales, which the club do plan to offload some of their fringe stars.
But who will Barcelona bring in? Well, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona board wish to bring in a left-winger, and they have shortlisted these three options...
3 Barcelona transfer targets to fill the left-wing position
1. Gabriel Martinelli
The Arsenal winger has impressed over the last few seasons with his rampant pace and dribbling ability. The Brazil international has made some serious improvement under the coach Mikel Arteta but with Leandro Trossard competing for his place in the starting eleven, a move away isn't completely off the cards.
2. Kaoru Mitoma
The Brighton asset is known as one of the best wingers in the league and, like Martinelli, has exceptional dribbling ability. He is great with the ball at his feet and working under a great tactical mind in Roberto De Zerbi, he is certainly ready for the step-up.
Although Mitoma is an important player to Brighton, the Seagulls may be easier to discuss with than Arsenal. Brighton are much easier to convince to sell their players, since this is how their mode of financial operations is run.
3. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's sheer versatility is likely the reason why the Barcelona board would like to bring him to Spain. For Napoli this season, he has played 21 Serie A games across the front-three. Interestingly, he can play as a left-winger, right-winger or central striker. This will mean a lot to Barcelona, but they are likely to use him in his strongest position, left-winger.
