The summer transfer window has officially ended, with the clubs having finalized their new season rosters. From FC Barcelona's point of view, the club's summer window was decent, with the club having made one of the biggest signings of the summer, Dani Olmo, and making few player sales of young prodigies Mika Faye and Julian Araujo.

While the transfer window concluded long ago, the club's transfer saga doesn't seem to be ending any soon. It has been much known that even before the Euros, Nico Williams stood as FC Barcelona's priority summer signing, and his masterclass at the tournament consolidated his chances further.

Not to forget, the Blaugrana club had even agreed on personal terms with the player's agent, having the money ready to trigger the €58M release clause in his Athletic's contract. However, the deal couldn't finalize, as Nico, having doubts about his early registration, decided to back off, considering Barca's financially stressed conditions.

But, despite the deal going cold and the transfer window over, Barca's interest hasn't faded in the Basque winger. Recently, journalist Matteo Moretto reported that Barcelona still has Nico Williams on their radar, and he could emerge as an option again next summer. The saga is not yet over.

Moreover, Barca insider Toni Juanmarti's reports suggest that even though Nico rejected a Barca move this summer, his recent statements suggest that the story is not over. On top of that, President Laporta's speech also suggests that he has no desire to upset or offend the Athletic Club. Also, considering the next transfer window is nine months away, Moretto suggested that things can change a lot.

Analyzing from FC Barcelona's perspective, it feels that given the club's recent performances in the La Liga season, Nico shouldn't be the club's must-buy option. Raphinha has been doing everything, and even more, than Nico Williams was supposed to do on the left wing. Moreover, with Ansu Fati on the verge of returning to the squad, chances are slim that FC Barcelona would feel Nico's presence mandatory the way they felt this transfer window.

Overall, Nico's move to Barca seems much less likely, considering the club's recent heroics, especially in the attacking front. However, with the next transfer window a significant time away, much couldn't be said, surely, on Nico Williams' transfer saga.
