While the club did not bring any reinforcements, the former Everton manager arrived at the Nou Camp with certain transfer targets in mind. Olympique Lyon’s Memphis Depay, and Manchester City‘s Eric Garcia were the two names everyone was aware of.
As of now, the manager has two new targets in Bayern Munich‘s David Alaba who will be a free agent upon the arrival of the summer transfer window of 2021. The Dutchman is also heavily interested in landing Borussia Dortmund‘s Erling Haaland, to be the ultimate replacement for Luis Suarez.
There will not be any problems signing Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay as both the players have shown interest in joining the Catalans. The signing of David Alaba, however, will be a complicated task as the defender has revealed interest in joining Real Madrid instead.
Alaba is currently being linked with the Los Blancos while many Premier League sides have also shown interest. Meanwhile, the signing of Erling Haaland will not be easy as the youngster will be priced at a very high rate. The problems will also arise as reports suggest that Italian giants Juventus are also interested in the same for targets.
Juventus have decided to join Barcelona.
The Old Lady will reportedly be moving in for the same four aforementioned targets, just like Barcelona. Hence, Ronald Koeman and the Blaugrana will not have an easy route to landing these players if the men in black and white come in with serious offers.
The Blaugranas are also interested in signing Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero. The Argentine will also be a free agent in the summer if the Blues do not offer him a solid contract that satisfies him. Hence, Barca can also get a good replacement for Suarez in the Premier League legend.
Which of these four players should Barca sign?
