Coming on the back of a spectacular display against Young Boys, dominating them 5-0 in UCL matchday, the Blaugrana club would be in good morale for their next game against Alaves in La Liga. Although Barca's last La Liga game against Osasuna ended against their expectations, the Catalan club hopes to return stronger than ever in their upcoming game. Being backed by a tremendous record against Deportivo Alaves, Flick's side would want to grab the complete 3 points from the fixture.
FC Barcelona, currently at the tabletop with 21 points from the first eight matchdays, would want to retain the 3-point lead over Real Madrid as they head into the international break. On that note, let's take a look at the probable lineup Barca boss Flick might use to outplay Deportivo Alaves:
Defense
Starting with the keeping role, as per the club's current scenario, prodigy Inaki Pena seems set to start in the sticks for Barca. Although the club has completed Szczesny's signing, he was not in Flick's plans before the international break, making Pena the undisputed starter against Alaves. So far this season, the prodigy hasn't been great in the goal and would want to have a significant outing here to contend in the role further.
Moving to the club's back four, most probably Flick would want to continue with the same setup as he laid against Young Boys. Even though star full-back Jules Kounde has had a considerably heavy workload, featuring every minute this season, the Frenchman might need to start here. Thus, with a successful full-back duo of Kounde-Balde, with Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi in the center-back role, Barca would want to enter the matchday.
Midfield
Coming to the club's midfield, there could be a significant change from Flick's entourage as compared to their last fixture. While star prodigy Marc Casado looks certainly clear to start in his conventional pivot role, Eric Garcia's return to the starting XI would potentially shift Catalan star Pedri into the number 10 role.
Given this setup, Club Captain Raphinha easily moves to his conventional wing role, replacing Ferran Torres on the left. Considering that this layout has been quite successful for the Blaugrana club so far, Flick might want to utilize the same, keen on going into the International break being the distinguished table toppers.
Attack
Finally, moving to the attack, there could be a significant change incorporated by Barcelona boss Hansi Flick. As has been much clear this far in the season, fringe star Ferran Torres has failed to provide justice to the left wing role, and thus, Club Captain Raphinha could move to his spot, pushing the Spaniard on the bench for the time being.
The rest of the attack force remains the same, with club sensation Lamine Yamal starting on his usual right flank and star number 9 Lewandowski spearheading the attack. Given that the front three, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski, have scored 64.5% of the team's goals this season, the fans would expect the trio to deliver in the same form against Alaves.
